Approximately 1.3 to 2 million women in the U.S. enter menopause annually, with over half of women aged 40–64 experiencing menopausal symptoms. Roughly 6,000 women reach menopause each day. About 5% of women experience early menopause (ages 40–45), while 1% experience premature menopause before age 40. Yale Study April 2025

Women who suffered from hot flashes, which can be harbingers of more serious ailments including cardiovascular disease, made 1.5 million more health visits than women who didn’t experience them; an increase of 82%. That amounts to 57% more lost work days and a work productivity loss of nearly $28 million a year.

Despite widespread symptom experience, fewer than one-third of employers report discussing menopause in the workplace - and only around 1 and 4 organizations have a menopause policy.
